Nigerian Story: The Origin Of Lady Koi Koi
Welcome to African Aurora Stories. If you attended high school anywhere in Nigeria, you've probably already heard stories about this woman. By now, I'm sure you can guess exactly who I'm talking about. I was about 10 years old when I first heard these stories. And over the years, there have been so many variations and so many different encounters.
Speaker 1:But today, I will be telling you about the origin of Lady Koi Koi. Now, no one knows exactly when or where this story began. But it was said that there was once a beautiful high school teacher who was known for her looks and her signature style. This style consisted of blood red lipstick as well as a pair of blood red heels. These heels would always make the sound koi koi koi whenever she walked and that's where the name came from.
Speaker 1:Now it was said that she was a very nasty woman. The students all hated her because she punished them and beat them up for no reason. One day, she slapped a student who ended up with a ruptured eardrum. Now, this student had very influential parents and this led to the teacher get sacked. After she had packed up her stuff, she jumped in her car to drive home but on the way home, she was involved in an accident.
Speaker 1:Before she died, however, with her last breath, she made a vow that she would have her revenge on the girl, the school, and all the students in it. Ever since that time, she's been wandering the halls of schools all over the country looking for this girl and terrorizing all the students, But she only comes out at night after lights out because her face was badly damaged in the accident. Till this day, students swear that if you listen hard enough, you can still hear the sound of her shoes. Koi, koi, koi. So I want to know, have you ever encountered lady koi koi?
